Thanksgiving wall hangings

I did finish these before Thanksgiving.   I just haven't had time to post.  There really are not a lot of options for thanksgiving decorations, so I figured I would make some.  I really love how these turned out.  I have so much to be thankful for!!!!!!!

Working

It doesn't seem like I've had much time to play lately as the kids are pulling me in all directions.  Finally, a day off today...just chillin with my "toys" and trying to figure out what my Christmas cards will look like.  I want to use a new embossing folder that I got, but nothing seems to be working just right...maybe I'm just trying to hard...

Ok, switching over to a book cover and I want it to look like a wood door.  It's coming out good so far...at least I can do something right!
It's cracking so nicely...yummmm!  This is going to be really cool.  I want to make a Christmas at home album...kind of rustic feel with lots of little birds and trees and hopefully some snow!!
Made these little ornaments too.  I used splash of color Inka golds.
I also made a Christmas dress for one of my little one's dolls, just have no idea where that little Dollie went off to...hmm..guess she had a party to attend....will post more tomorrow!

Halloween art doll

Here's my first attempt at an art doll; her name is "Shatter".  Really spooky, right?  The idea for the glass skirt came to me tonight.  I had already made the head "cage"' just wasn't sure who would be wearing this little gem.  Well, here she is!  Hee, hee...love her,
Getting in the mood for Halloween!  Just purchased a dress from the good will store for our scare crow.  Watch for me this weekend....

Book of Spells

I've been working on this book for such a long time.  For some reason, I really need time to think about the contents and how to decorate the pages.  Then, wham!  It all comes together.  I hope you like this!
The cover was decorated with a glow-in-the-dark bat, some embossing and Splash of Color metallic rub in gold and copper.
Some of the paper used is from Somerset studios magazines, I just painted, etc. and added poems and text.
Most of the photos in this book were taken in Apple's photo booth.  We always have a good laugh when taking these.  This photo is of my two little ones and my niece Christine.
This photo was actually taken under water at one of my teenager's swim practices.  Gold embossing was added as an accent.
This is a photo of "Mother", yes, me, without my makeup on....I really think this is a nice picture of me on one of my "witchiest" days...lol
You can probably tell that the shelves are made from the inside of a canvas.  This was actually the easiest part to make.  I had a blast finding/creating things to decorate the shelves.  Check out the little cat on the bottom shelf, reading a spell book....I also colored a crystal (from Marfi) and added it to the middle shelf.  Can you see the tiny tarot cards used!  I have a whole deck of those too!  Here's a close up of the shelves:
Hope you're having a creative weekend!!

Canvas wall hanging

Hello!  I just finished this canvas wall hanging with Viva Decor products.  I went a little rogue and did not follow the instructions...the chipboard and canvas came in a kit.  I added lots of sprays and some stamping to the pieces including on the canvas.  I just love how this turned out.  Gotta love Viva products; they never disappoint!

Fabulous fall project

This is for an upcoming class I'm hosting this month.  The book covers were made from chipboard and paint, creating a faux wood look.  I used dictionary pages or the inside with tags and TH's stain in gold around the edges.

Watercolors

Ok, we'll the other night I was playing around with my twinkling H2O's and came up with these:
The first looks like Medusa to me.  It didn't start out that way, but I think she's kind of cool.  The owl I have been thinking about for a while as I am following Julia Crane's blog....her acrylics are so whimsical and textured.

Off to the beach with the kids!

On vacation

Hello friends!  I'm on vacation right now, but taking some time to play a bit...mostly stamping.
See you soon!

Anajolia the mermaid is finally done!

Hello!!  This week I've been working a little bit most nights on he mermaid to get her done....and...drumroll ......I'm finally pleased with the results!  Here she is:
She was created from sheet metal, caulking, acrylic paint and lots of Viva Decor products!!  You will see Viva Inka Golds in her hair and eyes, over the caulking.  I think they covered very well.
The top was created with Inka Gold and Viva Stone Art over a Ranger stencil.  The tail was painted and then I used Viva Croco in blackberry...check it out!!!
I'm already planning my next mermaid project, having learned so much from this one.  I hope you like her!!

French Country

Don't you just love when things just fall together.  I had bought this 8x8 shadow box and a couple 12x12 boxes and have had no idea what to do with them.  Then I was browsing around on blogs last night and saw this great idea....just can't remember where...sorry!  I think it was butterfly kisses blog...?  Anyway, here it is!  Love it!!!  I think little baby will be making home in my kitchen.

And..the mermaid?  Well she's still hanging out on my screen porch, just waiting patiently for some attention.  My 6 year old named her today, Anajolia.  Hmmm, I like it!
Have a great weekend!

Cherries everywhere!!!

What a weekend, crazy weather with the flooding and winds.  Then, just good old muggy heat!!  We decided to pickup Cheyanne and go cherry picking the other day.  Anyone know some good cherry recipes!  We've been eating them like crazy; natural, then in jam and now cherry muffins.....cherries coming out everywhere !!!

Both Kate and Jessa got haircuts too, and a pretty fancy Do!

Today I may be able to work on a project or two.....really just trying to finish some older projects.
I found some Graphic45 paper over at Tuesday Morning and need to start a couple of projects with those too!!  Maybe a baby book or two...

Mixed media canvas using G45 French Country

I was inspired by Jamie from Prima marketing - love how this turned out.  I used paint, stamps, paper and lots of ink on this one.
I think this one will go in my kitchen .

Weekend creativity with. Grapic45

I met with a friend in Albany last week and we spent some time shopping and creating.  I had previously won some Graphic45 Secret Garden paper and used this time to create some spring albums.  The first album is a Kaisercraft album that I've had in my stash for a long time.  I played around with some crackle technique and metallic paint and patina...this paper is Fab!!

The second album is from Maya road; thought this little garden gate would again be perfect for a spring album....I'm thinking of putting pictures of the flowers from my garden on this one...like??

I'm actually working on a third album...yes, I know...but I'm not sick of the paper and I still have more to use!
